Marquette House New Orleans offers travelers an inviting and affordable stay in the heart of one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Located at 2249 Carondelet Street, this modest accommodation serves as a practical base for exploring the rich cultural tapestry of New Orleans, including the famed Mardi Gras parades and the Ashé Cultural Arts Center.

While the hotel carries a solid rating of 3.2, guest reviews highlight strengths that often go unnoticed. The friendly and helpful front desk staff create a welcoming atmosphere, making a positive first impression. Rooms may not boast the latest modern finishes, yet they are clean, comfortable, and equipped with essentials such as free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. For budget-conscious visitors, the balance of cost and location is impressive—especially considering secure free parking, a rarity in this bustling part of the city.

I have stayed at the Marquette house on two separate occasions for a total of 5 nights. I felt the need to leave a review because there are so many bad ones, and really, this place isn't bad. Front desk staff is friendly. Rooms are not new by any means but for the price and location they are top notch. I never got bed bug bites and never got anything stolen out of the fridge or my room, but then again, I knew it was a hostel and kept all of my valuables in my locked vehicle. Don't expect a 5 star hotel and you will be perfectly fine.

The hostel was really clean and quite. I was a nice place to lay your head down at night after I night of many tours. I believe I paid $50 a night which is really cheap. Parking is on the side of the house, and not on any street. The dorms are divided for men and women. The staff was friendly and helped with accommodations.
